Cookies
A cookie is a small text file the browser stores for a site and sends back with later requests to that site. This page lists what SlotBase itself sets. It also says what the catalog does not set.
The cookie we set
The site uses one first-party cookie. It is set because the pages share a single session mechanism. Reading the catalog does not require you to sign in. Blocking the cookie does not hide the pages.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| slotbase_sid | Holds a session identifier for the technical session of the visit. It does not store a name or a list of games. | Until the browser is closed. It is not given an expiry date. | First party. HttpOnly. SameSite=Lax. Secure when the page is served over HTTPS. Path is the whole site. |
The cookie does not contain your name, your email, or a list of games. It contains an identifier. The details, if any, sit on the server for that session.
What the session can hold
On a visit the session does not store a name, an email address, or which games were opened. The catalog does not use the cookie to build a reading profile. Closing the browser ends the session. There is no cookie that keeps a person signed in for a later visit.
What we do not set
- No advertising cookie.
- No analytics cookie from this catalog.
- No cookie that records a preference for language. The language is the address you open.
- No local storage and no tracking pixel.
Fonts
Google Fonts is a separate request to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. SlotBase does not set a cookie for that request. Google may process the request under its own rules, and may use its own storage. Blocking those two hosts stops the font request. The pages still load, with the fonts already on the device.
How to refuse
You can delete slotbase_sid or block cookies for this site in the browser settings. The catalog stays readable: game pages, studio pages, and search do not need the cookie to be shown.
Browser makers document the steps in their own help. The catalog does not ship a consent banner, because it does not set an advertising or analytics cookie and does not ask you to choose a marketing purpose.
Changes
If another cookie is added, this page names it. The table above is the full list of cookies the catalog sets now.
